Agent 2.47 was just released today, carrying with it several small fixes and improvements. Among them:
- For a multi-camera Maya job submitted from an existing project cache, upload all of the changed/new files once as a project file instead of with each camera’s job
- Warn that holding a job won’t stop work in progress
- Insure multiple connections to the farm can be made at startup, warn and exit if not
- Show whether or not there’s an update available in the About box
- Display error window and close queue viewer window on any exception
- Correct line endings in agent logs
There are some other internal improvements as well, so SuperDev has been busy. In an effort to provide you with more information about farm competition, you may now click on the Farm Load graph in the queue viewer to bring up a window that looks like this:
The goal here is to show how many jobs are currently rendering, and how many are at each Power level. This information is updated every few seconds, so you can have greater insight into what’s going on here. This window is a first stab at displaying this information. There may be a more graphically-attractive way to do it, but we wanted to get the information out there now. More information is better, right?
